Prior to the match Margarito and his trainer, Javier Capetillo tried to put gypsum plaster (also known as plaster of Paris) to Maragarito's hands. This substance is the one that makes cast. It is harder than gauze or tape but lightweight. They try to put it to Margarito’s hands. But Shane Mosley, and his trainer Nazim Richardson noticed it and have it removed.
